Yes, this blog is very late! I had it in draft forever and never really got around to it.
On Monday May 13th, 2024 JC and I made our second voyage up to the White Mountains to summit some 4000 footers. Our first 4000 footer was Mount Tecumseh on March 8, 2024, so we don’t have a whole lot of experience.
For this trip we decided to take the Avalon Trail, this was going to take us to Tom first, to Field and then over to Willey. Once at Willey we were going to back track to Field and then head down toward Mount Avalon (not a 4000 footer). From there we would take a trail that would meet up with the one we started out on and head back down.
This trip was quite the adventure, we learned what “monorail” was, along with mash potatoes, and posthole!
